Welcome to Blaze Futebol Club

Blaze FC is an independent competitive soccer club that resides west of the Fort Worth Dallas Metroplex.  The club provides an environment for the selection, coaching, and development of young people who possess the talent, dedication, and desire to be the best they can be.  We are dedicated to

* Provide advanced training and competition at an affordable cost.

* Develop superior soccer skills, sportsmanship, and moral standards.

* Emphasize player development over winning games.  We believe that if we take the time to develop each player with well-rounded  skills, then winning will take care of itself.

* Improve the club through active involvement of parents in the operation and management of teams and the club.

* Allow players to maintain a strong commitment to their development while maintaining a balance with family and school commitments.

We use BRUSA teaching methods for physical development, and technical and tactical training.  The BR is for Brazil, and the USA is for United States of America.  BRUSA methods combine the Brazilian style of play with some aspect of European styles.  This requires all players to develop a complete set of skills and the ability to think creatively in a safer playing environment.  This style is the leading edge of training for World Cup teams and major clubs on the East ad West Coasts.

What is in a Name?

We selected the name Blaze Futebol Club to emphasize our style of play and the character of our players.

From the American Heritage Dictionary some of the meanings of the word Blaze are:

    * A brilliant, striking display

    * To shine brightly

    * To shoot rapidly and continuously

We use the Brazilian spelling of futebol to emphasize our use of Brazilian tactics and training.
